Eliane

Eliane Busstra
Pilates has been a part of Eliane’s life since she was 14, when she began practicing to recover from an injury. What started as rehabilitation quickly became a passion. Pilates gave her a renewed sense of control over her body and deepened her connection with herself. Through it, she developed greater awareness of her movement and body—discovering strength and empowerment in that process.
During her Polestar Mat and Comprehensive training, Eliane came to deeply appreciate the inclusivity of Pilates. It transcends gender, body type, and age—making it accessible to everyone. Creating a safe and welcoming space where clients can explore movement, discover their strength, and feel empowered is something she holds close to her heart.
Breathwork is a central element in Eliane’s classes. While we breathe all day, it’s often unconscious. Pilates encourages a mindful relationship with breath, allowing it to support movement and restore internal balance. When combined with intentional movement, breath becomes a powerful tool for structure and alignment.
Eliane is passionate about ongoing learning and growth. She has completed further education in Anatomy Alive, Mat with Props, and Bumps, Babies & Boobs (a course for pre- and postnatal Pilates) through Polestar, as well as the Studio 191 Barre Instructor Training. She is currently in the final stage of her Polestar Comprehensive certification.
